Henry Moss Goals ~ ePublishing
Our team made this flyer on an easy and free website called canva.com.
First, we created an account, and signed up for free publishing. Then we chose a format. (A format could be a Poster, a Christmas Card, an Invitation, or a Presentation.) Then we chose a template by selecting one of the side accessories. The template can have four boxes, 3 rectangles, or almost any combination of frames you want.
Then, our team inserted text and pictures by clicking the “text” and “uploads”accessory. When we selected these, the program let us choose the format of text we wanted. We also changed the size, color, and font of the text.
For the photos, we clicked “upload” and then uploaded the photos we had taken and saved on the computer in advance. There is also a choice to upload your Facebook photos, but we didn't have the right photos posted on Facebook to do so.
We changed the background color and texture simply by clicking the “background” on the side accessories. There is a number of colors and textures that we could choose from (We considered selecting an image to be our background, but we decided to just have a normal color background).
Finally, we saved the flyer as an image, and simply downloaded it to the computer. We created this because several teachers in our building wanted a flyer representing our goals to hang in their classroom.
